Day 1 of exercise

For day one of exercising, I walked for 30 minutes. Only burned 288 calories but I am okay with that. For now it’s about establishing a routine and building up some endurance. I haven’t run in probably 20 years. I have shin splints, no thyroid, I am fat and I have asthma. This will be a slow process. I have lost 26 lbs since the start of 2019. My goal is to get down another 50. I am currently at 192ish. I also did 5 rounds of 10 squats as I walked. This evening I did ten pushups on the bathroom counter. I will work up to regular push ups. I can’t do sit ups yet so I need to figure out an alternative for building core strength until I can. Any suggestions anyone?

How have I lost 26 lbs so far? I am using Optavia. I should have lost more but I haven’t been as diligent as I should be. It is a work in progress and truth be told I want a permanent solution that I can manage long term. So Optavia is a kick start to a lifelong change.  I have always hated exercise. I am trying to change my mind set and see it as a positive.

I believe you should put your best foot forward in business. If you look and feel confident, it can do wonders for you in business. If you feel good, you will come across much more confident overall. Right now, I feel like I rock the skills in my industry, but I don’t feel confident in how I look. So, I am fixing that. I am writing here to try and keep myself accountable. Here’s to hoping I can keep at it!

When life gives you lemons

What a hectic week it has been. I feel like I am on a constant journey. I suppose I am really, as we all are. Today, a wonderful man has left this world and joined another. My Grandfather will be missed and loved by all his family. As sad as I am to have lost him, I am hoping that in that loss our family finds healing. As we all journey to the same place this coming weekend, I also hope that we reunite our family bonds and grow closer. Perhaps it will be his gift to us as we gather to remember him.

A family broken but cherished,
Our hearts separate, but one.

We gather with grief in our hearts,
But love on our tongues.

A treasure he will leave us,
A bond we all shall share.

A family together again,
Love, the foundation and the repair.
